Dr. Rexford earned her BA from Franklin and Marshall University and her MA and PhD in Government
and Politics from the University of Maryland. Dr. Rexford is co-advisor for the WCJC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa , the International Honor Society for community and junior colleges. She teaches Government 2305 and Government 2306 at multiple campuses.

Ms. Acord earned her BA and BAIS from Texas State University. She completed her MLA degree at the
University of St. Thomas and her MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Ms. Acord is currently completing her PhD at the University of Houston. She teaches Government 2305 and Government 2306 face-to-face and online.



William Feagin

Mr. Feagin earned his BA and MA degrees at Sam Houston State University and has completed course work in PhD program at the University of North Texas. Mr. Feagin has additional graduate hours from the University of Arizona. He currently teaches Government 2305 and Government 2306 at multiple campuses and online.

In addition to earning a degree from Wharton County Junior College, Mr. Ramirez has a Master of Arts from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and Master of Arts degrees in American Government and Congressional and Presidential Studies (CAPS) from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D. C.  He currently teaches Government 2305 and Government 2306 face-to-face and online.

Mr. Schoshinski earned his BA from the University of Texas(Dallas) and his MA from Texas Women’s
University. Mr. Schoshinski serves as the faculty advisor for the Student Government Association and the Political Science Club at the Sugar Land Campus. He teaches Government 2305 and Government 2306 at multiple campuses.

Michele Betancourt

Ms. Betancourt earned her BA from California State University (Long Beach) and her MA from the
University of Houston (Clear Lake). She currently serves as the Director of Distance Education for WCJC and teaches Government 2305 and Government 2306 online.

Jon Ellison

Mr. Ellison earned a BA from the University of Louisiana and his MA in Political Science from Sam
Houston State University. Mr. Ellison teaches GOVT 2305 and GOVT 2306 at the Sugar Land campus.

Melissa Janecek

Ms. Janecek earned her BA from Stephen F. Austin State University and her MA in Political Science from Sam Houston State University. She teaches Government 2305 and Government 2306 as part of the WCJC dual-credit program at East Bernard High School.

Mr. Spenrath earned his BA from the University of Texas (San Antonio) and his JD from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law. He currently teaches GOVT 2305 as part of the WCJC dual -credit program at El Campo High School.
