Program Curriculum

Associate of Applied Science Degree

 (60 semester credit hours)

Students are active in the lab throughout the degree plan culminating in a capstone course. The capstone project is an electrical / mechanical project that the students research, design, construct, and operate.  Some recent projects include: a Magnetic Levitation Demonstrator, a tracked ROV driven from a PC, and a full size Video Arcade Game.

Technical areas covered in the curriculum include:

• Fabrication and Soldering Techniques
• DC circuits, AC circuits, Digital circuits
• Solid State Devices
• Communications
• Programmable Logic Controllers
• Amplifiers
• Industrial Electronics

Students may begin the program in the Fall Semester or in the Spring Semester. Students must earn a grade of "C" or better in the program's capstone course (CETT 2349) in order to graduate.

Credit for all 60 semester credit hours is required to receive the AAS degree in Electronics Engineering Technology.
